How much it costs

Gs 300.000, departing at 18:00 and returning at 23:00, with pick-up from your hotel in Ciudad del Este. The fare covers dinner at the Hoplon Club and the bilingual guide; what you spend in the shops and the casino is on you.

The three stops

New Zone: the shopping

The first stop is New Zone, for anyone who wants to shop. Ciudad del Este is one of the largest retail districts in South America, and for many visitors the shops are the reason for the trip. Starting here leaves the rest of the night free of errands.

Hoplon Club: dinner and the Paraguayan Night Show

The second stop is the Hoplon Club, where dinner comes with the Paraguayan Night Show live: Paraguayan harp, folk dancing and a caña tasting. It is the same show LTO sells separately for USD 30; here it is included in the tour fare. The full programme is on the Paraguayan Night Show page.

Casino del Este: the close

The night ends at the Casino del Este, where adults can try their luck and take in the city after dark. Entry to the casino is part of the tour; chips and bets are not included in the fare.

Who it works well for

Ciudad del Este has a reputation as a shopping town and little else, and its nightlife falls outside almost every package sold from Foz do Iguaçu. This departure exists for exactly that: it organises the evening into a single route, with a vehicle and a guide, and saves you moving on your own between the centre, Lago de la República and the casino.

The 2-person minimum

This tour requires a minimum of 2 people and runs by prior booking only: there is no regular departure to join at short notice. If you are travelling alone and still want to do it, message us on WhatsApp and we will check availability for your date.

What to bring

• Valid passport or national ID: it is an evening tour with a casino stop, and you cross the border if you come from Brazil or Argentina.
• Cash or card for shopping at New Zone, which is not included.
• A separate budget if you plan to play: chips are not part of the fare.
• A light jacket for the 23:00 return.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a visa for Paraguay?

It depends on your nationality. Brazilian, Argentine and Uruguayan citizens do not; a valid national ID is enough. Other nationalities should check the current requirement for their passport before travelling.

What time does it leave and return?

It leaves at 18:00 and returns at 23:00.

Is dinner included?

Yes, dinner at the Hoplon Club is included, along with the Paraguayan Night Show performed during the evening.

Do I have to gamble at the casino?

No. The Casino del Este is the last stop and playing is optional: chips and bets are not included in the fare.

Can I go if I am travelling alone?

The tour asks for a minimum of 2 people. If you are on your own, message us and we will check your date, or look at the show on its own, which has no minimum.
