Staff transport on fixed routes

LTO takes your company's staff to work and back every day on a route designed around them, with set pick-up points, times tied to your shifts and vehicles from our own fleet for 3 to 30 passengers. It is not booked trip by trip but contracted for a period, and the proposal is built on three things: the route, the frequency and how many people travel.

How it differs from a one-off transfer

A transfer is booked for a date and is over when the passenger gets out. Staff transport is something else: the same people, the same route and the same time, repeated week after week. That is why it is sold by contract rather than by trip, and why the first thing we do is not give you a price but sit down and look at where your people live and what time they need to be at the plant or the office.

In practice, this makes the service predictable. The route and the stops are agreed in advance and repeated the same way every day, so the driver is not working out the route on the go. Once the route has bedded in, people stop arriving late because of the bus and you stop getting messages at six in the morning.

How we plan the route and the pick-up points

We design the route ourselves from the list of addresses or neighbourhoods you send us. We do not stop at every front door: we group people at pick-up points on well-known avenues and corners, so that each person only walks a short way and the route does not stretch out more than it needs to.

When staff are very spread out, more than one route works better, or a small vehicle that gathers people at a meeting point where the larger one sets off from. We sort that out when we design the route, before the service begins.

Frequencies: daily, weekly or monthly

You set the frequency, according to how your company works. These are the three ways the service is usually contracted:

Daily

The most common arrangement. The vehicle runs the route every working day, there and back, at the same time. It suits plants, warehouses, call centres and offices with fixed hours.

Weekly

One or two days a week, for companies whose staff do not go to head office every day, teams that rotate between branches or departments that only get together on certain days.

Monthly or seasonal

For month-end closing, stocktaking, audits, training or production peaks. You contract the block of days you need, and it is released when it ends.

Shifts, night shifts included

The service is built around your shifts, not the other way round. We cover the start of the shift, the end or both, and we can handle two- or three-shift patterns, early-morning changeover included. The night shift is precisely where the service makes the most difference: it is when staff find it hardest to get home, and leaving everyone to sort themselves out ends up hurting your attendance.

If you have staggered shifts, the same vehicle can make two runs back to back, half an hour apart, instead of adding another vehicle. Tell us what your hours are and we will tell you whether it works better that way or with two vehicles in parallel.

Which vehicle fits, depending on how many people travel

The fleet is our own, not outsourced, and goes from an SUV for a small team up to a thirty-seat bus. Choosing the right size is half the quote: a large vehicle running half empty makes the service more expensive, and a small one means doubling up trips.

VehicleCapacityWhich route
Volare V8L30 + 2Full plant shifts
Mercedes Sprinter19 + 1Urban routes with many stops
Foton16 + 1Whole departments or sections
Maxus V9014 + 1Medium-sized teams
Hyundai H110 + 1Small groups and part shifts
Ford Explorer6 + 1Supervisors and skeleton crews
Mercedes GLA 200 · MG ZS3 + 1Senior staff

The fleet also includes the Chevrolet S10, Ford Ranger and Mercedes ML 350, seating 4 + 1, for short routes or dirt roads.

If your headcount or your hours change

No company has the same people all year round, so the service is reviewed as it runs. If new staff join in an area the route does not cover, we add the stop. If the shift moves by half an hour, we move the vehicle's schedule. If the group grows and no longer fits, we step up to the next vehicle in the fleet; if it shrinks, we size down and the proposal is adjusted.

Changes are requested through the same contact as always and apply from the date we agree. What we ask for is advance notice when a change means a different vehicle or a different driver, so that we do not have to improvise along the way.

Coordination and a single contact

Your company deals with one person at LTO, not with each driver. That contact knows your routes, your hours and your people, and is who you message if one day you need to leave earlier, if a passenger is added or if it is a public holiday and nobody is working.

How much it costs

Staff transport is quoted case by case: it depends on the route, the frequency and the number of passengers, and no two companies have the same route. To send you a proposal we need four things:

With that we plan the route, choose the vehicle and send you the proposal. If your hours are not settled yet, message us anyway with what you do know and we will move forward from there.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum number of passengers?

The fleet starts at 3 + 1 vehicles, so a small team can be moved as well; what changes is which vehicle makes sense for the route. Tell us how many people there are and we will tell you which vehicle to build it around.

Can we contract just the trip home?

Yes. You can contract just the trip in, just the trip home or both, and it is common to cover only the end of the night shift, which is when staff find it hardest to get home. Tell us which leg you need and we will quote it that way.

Do you work outside Ciudad del Este?

We are based in Ciudad del Este and cover Alto Paraná and the roads out to the industrial areas nearby. Tell us where the plant is and we will confirm.

Are the vehicles your own?

Yes, the fleet is our own, from the 30 + 2 Volare to the 3 + 1 SUVs, and the drivers work for LTO.

And if I also need a one-off transfer?

It can be added through the same contact. One-off transfers to airports, terminals and hotels are quoted separately, per vehicle and per leg, and you will find them in the transfers section.

Request your proposal

Message us with the number of people, the area they leave from and the shift times, and we will put together the route and the proposal.
