What the transfer includes and what it does not
What LTO sells on this departure is the return transfer from Ciudad del Este to Iguaçu National Park, on the Brazilian side, with our own driver and vehicle. The fare is Gs 650.000 per vehicle for up to 4 passengers, not per person: if four of you travel, each pays a quarter.
- Included: the return transfer from your hotel in Ciudad del Este.
- Included: waiting time for the whole visit, as the vehicle takes you at 08:00 and brings you back at 16:00.
- Not included: admission to Iguaçu National Park, which is paid at the ticket office.
- Not included: admission to Parque das Aves, a separate and optional attraction.
- Not included: meals or anything you buy inside the park.

Times and meeting point
Departure is at 08:00 and the return at 16:00. Pick-up is from your hotel in Ciudad del Este: there is no meeting point to reach on your own. When you book, you give us the name of your hotel and we arrange the exact pick-up time at the door.
Eight hours is enough to walk the circuit of walkways on the Brazilian side without rushing and, if you like, to add Parque das Aves, which is opposite the entrance to the national park. If you plan to do both, tell us when you book so we can organise the day.
What you see on the Brazilian side
Iguazú Falls are made up of 275 waterfalls up to 80 metres high and are the main attraction of Foz do Iguaçu, the Brazilian city of the Triple Frontier. The Brazilian side is the panoramic one: the trail runs opposite the curtain of falls and ends on a walkway that reaches into the base of the Devil's Throat.
It is the shorter route of the two sides and is done in a single walk, which is why it fits best into a day trip from Ciudad del Este. The Argentine side, on the other hand, has several circuits and is worth setting aside a whole day for.
Parque das Aves
Parque das Aves is a few metres from the entrance to Iguaçu National Park and is a separate visit, with its own ticket office. Admission costs R$ 110 or USD 22 and is not included in the transfer. It is the stop most families travelling with children add, because it takes less time to see than the falls.
How many people fit and what happens if there are more than four
The service is designed for 1 to 4 passengers, the capacity of the vehicle used for this departure. The Gs 650.000 fare is the same whether one or four of you travel. For 5 or more passengers, the quote is separate: LTO has its own fleet with vehicles of up to 30 seats, so your group fits, but the price is worked out according to the vehicle required.
Documents for crossing into Brazil
The visit means crossing the border over the Friendship Bridge, so every passenger needs a valid passport or national ID, children included. Immigration requirements depend on your nationality and are set by Brazil and Paraguay, not by the tour operator: if you have any doubts about your case, message us before booking and we will check it together.
Why book it from the Paraguayan side
Most Iguazú Falls packages are sold from Foz do Iguaçu. If you are staying in Ciudad del Este, that means crossing on your own and meeting the transport on the other side. LTO operates from the Paraguayan side: the vehicle picks you up at the door of your hotel in Ciudad del Este, waits for you during the visit and brings you back to the same place.
LTO is a tour operator licensed by Paraguay's National Tourism Secretariat under registration no. 415 and registered with IATA under number 90501143; it invoices in Paraguay and works with its own fleet and drivers.
What to bring
- Valid passport or national ID, without exception: you are crossing an international border.
- Reais or dollars in cash for the park ticket, which is not included.
- Clothes you do not mind getting wet, or a light rain jacket: the last walkway at the Devil's Throat catches the spray from the falls.
- Comfortable, closed shoes for the trail.
- Sunscreen, a cap and water: the route is in the open almost all the way.
