What is included and what is not
It is worth starting with what is most often misunderstood: the Gs 450.000 fare is the return transfer, not the dinner. LTO takes you from your hotel in Ciudad del Este to Puerto Iguazú, waits for you during the evening and brings you back; whatever you order at the restaurant is paid separately, directly on the spot.
- Included: the return transfer from your hotel in Ciudad del Este.
- Included: waiting time for the whole evening, from 19:00 to 23:00.
- Not included: the cost of dinner.
- Double-occupancy basis: if you are travelling alone or in a larger group, ask us for the rate.
- Departure is arranged when you book.
How much Dinner in Puerto Iguazú costs
LTO's Dinner in Puerto Iguazú costs Gs 450.000, covers the return transfer on a double-occupancy basis and runs from 19:00 to 23:00. It is LTO's cheapest evening transfer to Argentina: the full-day Puerto Iguazú tour costs Gs 800.000 and Cruceros Iguazú, Gs 750.000.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | Gs 450.000 |
| What it covers | Return transfer, double-occupancy basis |
| Times | 19:00 to 23:00 |
| Pick-up | Hotel in Ciudad del Este |
| Dinner | Not included |
Times and pick-up
Departure is at 19:00 and the return at 23:00, with pick-up from your hotel in Ciudad del Este. That makes four hours, a reasonable margin to cross, have dinner without rushing and come back.
Where you eat
Puerto Iguazú has everything from fine-dining restaurants to places with a strong local identity, and the choice is yours. LTO provides the transfer and the waiting time; you choose the table.
The fare covers the return transfer, not the dinner or the table reservation. If you would like us to suggest options or arrange the booking, message us on WhatsApp in advance and we will look into it for your date.
What a double-occupancy basis means
It means that the Gs 450.000 fare corresponds to a service provided on a double-occupancy basis, as with the Itaipu Dam visit and Tierra Guaraní. If you are travelling alone, or there are more than two of you, message us on WhatsApp and we will give you the rate for your group before you book.
Crossing the border at night
This departure crosses the border twice in the same evening: from Paraguay into Argentina on the way out and the reverse on the way back. Every passenger needs a valid passport or national ID, children included. Immigration requirements are set by Argentina and Paraguay according to your nationality, not by the tour operator: if you have any doubts about your case, message us before booking.
The advantage of sorting it out with a booked transfer is not having to find transport back at eleven at night on the other side of the border, which is the awkward part of crossing for dinner on your own.
Dinner in Puerto Iguazú or Cruceros Iguazú
They are the two ways we offer to spend an evening on the Argentine side, and they are less alike than they sound. Here is the comparison:
| Dinner in Puerto Iguazú | Cruceros Iguazú | |
|---|---|---|
| Transfer | Gs 450.000, double-occupancy basis | Gs 750.000 for up to 4 passengers |
| Times | 19:00 to 23:00 | Arranged when you book |
| Food | Not included, you choose the restaurant | On board the catamaran, with a separate ticket |
| Music and shows | Whatever the restaurant you choose offers | Included on board |
| Extra cost per passenger | The dinner | About ARS 40.000 for the cruise |
If there are two of you, Dinner in Puerto Iguazú is cheaper on the transfer and lets you choose where to eat. If there are four, the transfer for Cruceros Iguazú splits better and the on-board programme comes ready-made.
How it fits with the other tours
As an evening departure, it does not clash with any of the daytime tours. These are the combinations that make sense:
- With the Puerto Iguazú tour, if you want to see the Falls on the Argentine side on another day.
- With Cruceros Iguazú, which also heads to Puerto Iguazú.
- With the 13:00 Ciudad del Este City Tour, which finishes with plenty of time to spare before 19:00.
- With Tierra Guaraní, which takes up the morning and leaves the evening free.
What to bring
- Valid passport or national ID for every passenger.
- Argentine pesos, a card or whatever currency the restaurant accepts: dinner is not included.
- A light jacket for the 23:00 return.
